Enjoy the big game, and here's hoping the West Coast is represented again next year, preferably by some team we often talk about around here.Yeah, so much for the hopes there. As the years go on, it's looking less and less likely that a West Coast team will appear in the Super Bowl in, oh, the next 15 years. The Chargers are old and on a serious downturn (if not for Phillip Rivers you could stick a fork in 'em) and, then who? The closest team in the Western divisions to getting to the Super Bowl? The 7-9 Seattle Seahawks. That's spells M-E-D-I-O-C-R-I-T-Y in the West, people.
On the bright side, what better time for a bunch of young guns in Oakland to take center stage? We'll need to show we can get past KC next season. Not just by sweeping the series, mind you, we did that last year. No, this time around we'll need to win the winnable games like at Arizona. I know, we almost had that one. Still hurts a little. We've proved that these guys can get fired up and win some meaningful matches, and now it's about getting the same guys to buy into the fact that all games are meaningful matches. That's when we'll start turning some heads. Booyah.
